The Nelson Mandela Capture site in Howick recently hosted the Nelson Mandela Foundation which, along with a group of key partners, handed over a number of massive Boxer food parcels as part of a campaign to support more than 200 families that have been devastated by the impact of Covid-19. The Boxer Superstores hampers, weighing in at nearly 50kgs each were funded by Hulamin, Ride4Hope, Pick n Pay and the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Packed with nutritious products, they were specially designed by Boxer to ensure that each recipient would be able to feed their family for up to 6 weeks. Ride4Hope along with Hulamin and Nelson Mandela Foundation representatives addressed the attendees who made up a small portion of the over 200 families that have been helped in this incredible initiative.
At the handover ceremony, the Foundation revealed that SMS’s had been sent to dozens of families as part of their Each1Feed1 campaign and that each SMS contained a Boxer Superstores eCoupon code which would provide the recipient with the same nutritious products that the guests at the handover had received. After officially handing over the many hampers, the teams headed to Khazimula Children’s Home in Lions River where a further 10 food parcels were donated to the home.
