Our Boxer CSR team recently embarked on a country-wide campaign to help several SAPS stations by donating items to the various Victim Friendly Facilities (VFF) based at each station.
VFF’s provide victims of crime (especially Gender Based Violence, sexual offences, and other serious and violent crimes) a space where they can be delicately cared for when visiting a police station to report the crime. These facilities offer dignity and ensure that the victim of a crime is empowered and not subjected to any secondary victimisation by possible inefficiencies during the process.
The following stations were assisted with a range of items including paint, children’s chairs, various stationary and colouring books, fridges, television, toiletries, toys, blankets, towels, beds, and refreshments including cake, tea, coffee, sugar and milk: SAPS Paulpietersburg (KZN), SAPS Ulundi (KZN), SAPS Diepsloot ( Gauteng), SAPS Nelspruit (Mpulamanga), SAPS Zamdela (Free State), SAPS Ndedwe (KZN), SAPS Nyanga (Western Cape) and SAPS Umthatha (Eastern Cape).
We applaud the efforts made by our men and women in blue to keep our communities safe, and combat the scourge of Gender-based Violence across the country.
