The Comrades Marathon is filled with drama and instances of the human spirit overcoming tremendous odds. When we saw 15 times Comrades medalist and Ladysmith (KZN) based runner Nhlanhla Coka cross the line carrying our iconic silver Boxer grocery bag, we had to thank him for taking us on his epic journey to the finish.
We eventually managed to contact the man known as "Rasta" to his friends and running partners, and with a little help from our Boxer Ladysmith Superstore, managed to surprise the 49 year old running veteran with a few tokens of our appreciation.
Although Coka revealed that he kept his valuable items in our grocery bag because of its strength and longevity, we thought it might be better suited to running if he kept the grocery bag for shopping and a back pack for training! Thank you Coka for keeping us close during your run, and we hope you enjoy the eCoupon and groceries too!
