Boxer Store together with the Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority W&RSETA Alfred Nzo Development Agency ANDA have made it possible for more than 120 young farmers to complete their studies through the Golden Ratio College. These farmers are dominated by young people and hail from all four local municipalities under the Alfred Nzo District Municipality and were trained in small scale farming. Addressing the graduates and the guests Member of the Mayoral Committe responsible for Mayoral Affairs in the Alfred Nzo District Municipality Councillor Nathi Nqoko said: "We're here today to celebrate with the graduates on their achievements and we hope that what you have learnt in the College shall be implemented soon. We have taken a decision as the Leadership to partner with private sector in order to enhance integrated economic development initiatives.
Let's also appreciate Boxer Store for their effort in ensuring that the training is a success. We believe that these graduates will heat the ground running and produce the vegetables and supply the wholesales. Alfred Nzo Development Agency as the vehicle in driving the Economic Development programmes must partner with all SETA'S to ensure that the district economy is on another level." Chief Zwelonke Njingalwazi Sigcau from Ntlezi Traditional Council appreciated the efforts made by stakeholders in ensuring that the training is a success. Chief also said "Alfred Nzo District is one of the poorest district in the country it is important for Boxer to facilitate more trainings". Meanwhile Ntombi Dludla who is the Group Executive Stakeholders Engagement & Sustainability at Boxer said "fifty 50 stores in the Province of the Eastern Cape are ready for the fresh produce of the graduates". Dludla also said as Boxer they are proud to announce that a R2000 voucher can be utilised at Boxer Build where farmers are able to buy working equipment.
