Boxer Superstores is proud to announce a significant initiative in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in the Eastern Cape. In partnership with South African Breweries (SAB), and SA Harvest, the discount supermarket has spearheaded the renovation of the SAPS Victim-Friendly Facility at the New Brighton Police Station in Gqeberha. This transformative project, made possible through a generous donation of R100 000 from SAB, will provide victims of GBV with a safe, private, and comforting space when needing police assistance.

The newly refurbished facility is a critical step in creating a supportive environment for women and children affected by GBV. Boxer Superstores, known for its commitment to uplifting communities, has worked closely with SA Harvest to bring this vision to life. SA Harvest, a key strategic partner in this initiative, is widely recognized for its mission to provide food to vulnerable communities during critical times, and its constant fight against hunger. Boxer and SA Harvest have partnered numerous times on various community-focused projects, including disaster relief.

“This project embodies the spirit of care and community support that defines Boxer. We are deeply grateful to SAB for their generosity and to SA Harvest for their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals,” said Boxer’s Group Executive for Stakeholder Engagement and Sustainability, Ntombi Dludla.
