We’re thrilled to share the exciting news that Boxer Superstores has reached an incredible milestone: the opening of our 500th store in Port Shepstone! On the 24^th of October, hundreds of customers, community members, and dignitaries, including the Mayor of Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, Cllr. Zodwa Mzindle, joined us in celebrating this memorable occasion at the new Port Shepstone Mall.

Our new store manager, Sihle Thabede, couldn’t be prouder, saying, “We’re so proud to be serving shoppers at the brand-new Port Shepstone Mall. Today was truly special, with shoppers singing and cheering before the doors even opened!”

The Port Shepstone Boxer offers the full Boxer experience—fresh quality products in the Butchery, Bakery, Hot Foods Section, and Fruit and Veg Department, as well as value-added services at our B-Money Kiosk. This milestone wouldn’t be complete without you, our loyal customers, and we’re so grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

Opening day was filled with exclusive deals, prizes, and Rewards Club benefits! Plus, shoppers were excited to capture memories with our 5-metre-tall mascot, Boxie, set up just outside the Mall’s Food Cour entrance.

Our Managing Executive, Marek Masojada, summed it up best: “This 500th store opening is a proud moment for us, especially as it takes place in the very province where Boxer began. It marks the beginning of even more growth as we bring value and savings to South Africans nationwide.”
